I am a professional photographer working in South Australia - I have been using Nikon since my first camera purchase - a Nikkormat FT2 in 1973(?). The latest crop of Nikon lenses are CRAP mechanically - fantastic optically. I have had a 24 -70 f2.8 fall apart while lifting it out of my case. They are using plastic a toy from the '60s would be embarrased to use. If you have had any trouble with modern Nikkors' please add to this blog. The aim is to pressure Nikon Japan to lift its game and to refit shoddy components with better quality. A lens recall if you will - it happens to car manufacturers all the time - its time for Nikon
